I’m taking my sister and 5 or is it 6…of her friends to Wayzata tomorrow afternoon to get some practice in. They are a bunch of beautiful girls, I can’t wait to see how the shots turn out! I ran over there during lunch today to scout out some places to take the pictures. Now I’ve been to Wayzata a 100 times in my life but never looking for cool places to take pictures or fun architecture…it was amazing what I saw after looking around town with a photographer’s eye. I snapped a few quick shots as I drove around. There is a nursery that I am dying to go back to. Do you see the potential that I see? I hope they are willing to let us snap a few shots!

This is what initially drew me to the area:

There is also a beautiful old train station that sits right along Lake Minnetonka, an adorable Starbucks, Ben & Jerry’s, an old movie Marquee and various other cool shops with awesome colors & vines crawling all over them. I cannot wait until tomorrow. Cross your fingers that the weather cooperates!

I’m currently working on getting some of my pictures up in the store in sets of three based on location. These sets would look fantastic matted in black frames and hung in sets around your house. I started with my 3 favorite pictures from Paris which also happen to be hanging in my house. I’m working on a set from Florence and a set from Tuscany. I may even work on a set from this weekend in Madison and assuming the weather cooperates this weekend, I will definitely have a set from the lake. Mmmmmm, the lake…

I added a few new pictures from my weekend in Madison to our Etsy store. I think my current favorite is the shot below…what a great night!

I ordered another lens yesterday. I cannot wait for it to arrive so I play around with it! I love checking out other photographer’s blogs to get shot ideas and gear ideas. I am on Pink Ink Studios mailing list and this month they featured Chasity Furse who mentions that her favorite piece of gear is her Pro Lens Wear bag so first I had to check out her blog and then I had to check out Pro Lens Wear’s website. Their bags are SO cute and so ME! And then I checked out their blog which lead me to Tracy Joy’s website. I honestly thought I was going to have a hard time finding a cute bag but really I’m just having a hard time picking one out!
